A Day Out At The Somerset Toiletry Company & Soap Bar

We have just began the new year, and things are already looking up. I was recently invited in to visit The Somerset Toiletry Company, and it was so funny because when I received the invite, I was literally driving by at that exact moment.

I was on my way home from a client in Wells, and I was taking in the stunning Somerset countryside, and I noticed the company logo on the side of the building, and mentally made note that I need to come back and visit.

Roger & Sakina Buoy founded The Somerset Toiletry Company in 1999. Serial entrepreneur Roger and aromatherapy expert Sakina identified a gap in the market to produce beautiful, honestly priced luxury toiletries.

Sakina ( a fellow Canadian ) met me when I popped into the cafe & shop and told me her whole company story. It was so inspiring to hear where they started and to see where they are now.

Following the initial success of producing body care for other companies, the business developed its own distribution range. Trade Fairs all over the world have been used to build brand awareness and develop valued customer relationships.

Over the years the company has been recognised for many prestigious awards for business and design, including the Queens Award.

Alongside the beautiful products, the cafe is one to pop into. With the best carrot cake that I have ever had, I will definitely be making a trip back to have seconds.

If you are in the area, make sure to pop in and say ‘hello’!
